Guitar -- The Big Family of Music Instrument

   Guitar is a popular musical instrument that makes sound by the playing of its six strings(typically) with the sound being projected either acoustically or through electrical amplification (for acoustic guitars or electric guitars, respectively). It is typically played by strumming or plucking the strings with the right hand while fretting the strings with the left hand.

   Guitar is an amazing instrument, no one really knows when and where the earliest guitar originated. Guitar family is a big part of all musical instruments. There are three main types of guitar-- Acoustic Guitar(with steel string), Classical Guitar(with nylon string), and Electronic Guitars. The difference between those two guitars is the width of the neck. The neck of classical guitar is wider than other members of the guitar family.
   
   The type of guitar that you choose to play will depend on the style of music that you wish to play on your instrument. It does not really matter if you decide to learn to play the electric or acoustic, it is really up to you, but one consideration to make is if you wish to play both styles of guitar later, it is probably best to start with a steel stringed acoustic guitar. Play this type of guitar will strengthen your fingers as you press down on the strings to make chords. Pressing down strings on this guitar is easier and requires less finger strength. So if you wish to play those two types of guitar, you should start with the steel stringed acoustic.  

   The other members of guitar family are Electronic Guitars(including Electric Guitars, Electric-Acoustic Guitars and Semi Acoustic Guitars), Twelve-String Guitars, Seven-String Guitars, Bass Guitars, Arch-top Guitars, Steel Guitars(including Lap Steel Guitars and Pedal Steel Guitars), Resonator Guitars, and Double-Neck Guitars.

   Here are some interesting facts about guitars--
-The first Electric Guitar was created in 1931, by both George Beauchamp and Adolph Rikenbekerom.
-The first wooden guitar was created by both Leo Fender and Les Paul. They were crafted independently of each other, in 1950.
-The first Bass Guitar was also developed firm Leo Fender in the 50's of last century.
-The smallest functioning electric guitar is called Percision Guitar, whose length is 67.5 cm.
-The most influential guitarist of all time, according to Rolling Stone magazine, is Jimi Hendrix.
-The range of normal guitar is about four octaves.
-The most expensive guitar in the world is the Fender Stratocaster, signed with 19 famous guitarists and sold at a charity auction for $ 2.8 million.
